RVRS – United Flesh

Jonathan Garnier is a French photographer who moved from Paris to California in 2008.

In 2010, he released his art book California Trips, exploring the raw beauty and underlying violence of the contemporary American West. His project, United Flesh, is a photographic investigation of cultural shifts – drawing a parallel between post–WWII Americana and today’s United States, from the ideals of the 1950s “American Dream” to the complex social and cultural landscape that followed.

Jonathan has developed a distinctive visual language, processing his images to achieve a striking “hyper-realistic” quality.
